Ever feel like you are going in the wrong direction?

Like I said in the video, joining the gym and working out my upper body is most likely contributing to the gain this week, especially considering I have been under on my calories every day this week (well, except for yesterday).  Here are the stats:

  • Initial Weight: 241.4 lbs
  • Weight after this week’s weigh-in: 242.4 lbs
  • +/- :  +.6 lbs
  • Total lost: GAINED 1.0 lbs

Weighed in yesterday & lost 5.2 more lbs. I ate a nice thanksgiving dinner, my first substantial meal in months. I had a full plate of Turkey, stuffing, green beans, corn and dinner rolls. I was so bloated & in a food coma for like 3 hours after. I skipped desserts because I was so full for so long. I thought for sure I had gained 3 lbs. I got back on track the next day eating healthy, mostly vegetarian dishes like vegetable based soups & rice. I was so happy to see that I did in fact post another loss.

I feel the reason that I am dropping the weight in sizable chunks each week is because I was HUGE! I have a lot to lose. I dropped my BMI from 50+ to 35.0 but I still have another 35lbs to lose before I am gonna hit the brakes on trying to lose weight and shift my focus over to muscle gain. I want to be 250lbs (my high school football weight) then I'll hit the bench. I never want to be to small because out here in Los Angeles you got to be intimidating to all the knuckleheads this city seems to churn out all over the place.

Anyway, thanks to all of you out there doing the damn thang, like me keep it up & see ya soon!

Here is the link to my 4th update:

Note: The scale reads 285.6 but my wife was unable to go with me so I had to hold the Flip myself. I noticed when I placed it on the counter next to the scale, the scale dropped another .4lbs so my weight was actually 285.2.
  • I have recently shifted gears from strictly trying to lose weight to also trying and tone up and change some of this fat to muscle. I don't want to be huge, just toned. Hopefully in doing so I will drop a few more lbs!
